Cybertown Revival

Cybertown Rivival (CTR) is an on-going, open-source project attempting to resurrect and preserve the VRML-based community called Cybertown. This community was popular in the late 90's and was taken offline in early 2012. Cybertown was one of the first online vitual communities starting in 1996 that merged with ColonyCity in 1999. Users could chat, have jobs within the coummunity, and earn virtual money called CC's (CityCash) that could be used to buy 3D homes and 3D items.
